Product lifecycle

Coveo for Salesforce is an evolving solution that’s continuously delivering new features and improvements. This high velocity of innovation combined with the ever-changing Salesforce ecosystem means that some legacy frameworks, methods, or features must be deprecated.

This article describes the official product lifecycle of the Coveo for Salesforce package versions and components.

  • As of January 1, 2021, all Coveo Lightning components no longer support Microsoft Internet Explorer 11. This change applies to all versions of the Coveo for Salesforce package. Learn more about the supported browsers.

  • The End of Life (EOL) date for the Coveo for Salesforce Free Edition was December 31, 2021. On this date, all free organizations were deleted.

Package versions

The latest version of the Coveo for Salesforce package can be downloaded from the Salesforce AppExchange. Links to older versions are available in the Coveo for Salesforce release notes, but support is limited as stated below, and as provided under the Coveo Support and Service-Level Policies.

Lightning components

Lightning components may be deprecated due to lack of support with certain aspects of the Salesforce platform (for example, Lightning Locker compliance, evolution in component framework, etc.)

Definitions

Development end date

There are no more features or improvements for that version after the development end date. New Salesforce releases after this date are no longer tested and supported with the listed package version or component.

Bug fix end date

Major bug fixes are added to the latest official release of the version until the bug fix end date. At the bug fix end date, the documentation is archived and made available in the Archived content section. The documentation is no longer searchable on our public search.

Support end date

After the support end date, Coveo Support asks the user to upgrade before offering any support.

End of Life (EOL) date

The date at which the feature or product will be removed from the Coveo Platform and/or the Coveo for Salesforce package. On this date, all instances of the said feature or product will be deleted.
