April 2024 release: v5.6.3 (maintenance release)

Bug fix

  • Quickview and result links are now opening correctly in the Hosted Insight Panel

    Fixed the Quickview and result links issue that was causing an error in the Hosted Insight Panel.

Bug fixes

  • Smart Snippet link now opens in a new tab

    Fixed an issue where the Smart Snippet source link in the Hosted Insight Panel wasn’t opening in a new tab as expected.

  • Smart Snippet error no longer triggered when users access next-page results

    Fixed an issue with Smart Snippets which caused an error when users weren’t accessing the first page of results in the Hosted Insight Panel.

New features and enhancements

  • Relevance Generative Answering (RGA) now available in the Hosted Insight Panel

    The Coveo Hosted Insight Panel now supports Relevance Generative Answering (RGA).

    Important

    Coveo Relevance Generative Answering (RGA) is a paid product extension. Contact Coveo Sales or your Account Manager to add RGA to your organization license.

  • New Custom Context Provider picklist

    The Custom Context Provider picklist that’s now part of the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel component makes it easy to augment queries with additional context returned by your custom Apex class.

  • New EXECUTE_QUERY privilege added to the platform token

    The EXECUTE_QUERY privilege has been added to the platform token that’s generated by the Hosted Insight Panel. As a result, the generated platform token (default or custom) can now be used to send queries to the Search API.

    Important

    Since the platform token doesn’t have a search hub or an enforced pipeline, we strongly advise against using pipeline filters to exclude sensitive information from your query results. See Safely apply content filtering and Query pipeline routing mechanisms and rules for details.

Bug fixes

  • Hosted Insight Panel not loading

    Fixed an issue where the Hosted Insight Panel wasn’t loading due to an error related to the ApexTypeImplementor object.

  • Salesforce items opening in a new browser tab

    Fixed an issue where Salesforce items were opening in a new browser tab instead of a new Salesforce tab when users clicked a result link in the Hosted Insight Panel.

November 2023 release: v5.5 (minor release)

New features and enhancements

  • New keyword highlighting feature

    The Coveo Hosted Insight Panel component now provides keyword highlighting out of the box.

  • Behavior change for the Send as email result action

    The Send as email result action in the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel component now replaces the entire body of an email with a result link instead of inserting the link at the cursor position.

  • Broken link cleanup

    Links that pointed to deprecated Coveo Classic search pages have been removed from the Coveo for Salesforce package and its Getting Started page.

Added support for the Send as email and Post to feed result actions to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

Visualforce components are no longer used to store the HTML content of your pages. A new custom object called Page Content is now being used instead.

SFINT-4785

Added a picklist to make it easier to select the desired Hosted Insight Panel configuration for the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-4799

Updated the Coveo for Salesforce remote site settings to support the new Canada deployment region.

SFINT-4840

Added support for the organization endpoints feature. A new toggle to enable this feature was added to the Advanced Configuration page.

Added support for the Smart Snippets feature to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-4855

Added support for folding to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-5014

Added support for the Featured tag to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-5044

Added support for Dynamic Navigation Experience (DNE) to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-5064

Added the new Coveo ClientIdAccessor component. This component replaces the Coveo VisitorIdAccessor component.

SFINT-5057 and SFINT-5118

Added the ability to generate a custom platform token for the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component. A picklist to select the name of the custom Apex class that will override the default platform token was also added to the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component.

SFINT-5086

Result links in the Coveo Quantic Insight Panel component now open in a new tab by default.

SFINT-5110

Removed the Interface Editor for the Coveo Classic search pages (that is, InterfaceEditor, BoxInterfaceEditor, and CaseCreationInterfaceEditor).
