Installation procedures

Regardless of your preferred Coveo for Sitecore deployment option, installing Coveo for Sitecore involves the deployment of Coveo for Sitecore items, assemblies, and configuration files in your Sitecore instance.

Follow the instructions for your deployment scenario among the ones below.

Installing Coveo for Sitecore in a Sitecore on-premise environment

  1. Follow the instructions in the Install article.

  2. If you’re working with SXA, see Install Coveo for Sitecore SXA components.

  3. If you want to send Coveo Analytics events to the Sitecore xConnect service, see Send Coveo Analytics to Sitecore xConnect.

    Your next step is to configure and activate Coveo for Sitecore (see Configuration and activation options).

Note

Steps 2 and 3 can be performed before or after the configuration and activation of Coveo for Sitecore.

Installing Coveo for Sitecore in Sitecore on Azure PaaS

You can install Coveo for Sitecore on top of Sitecore using the Sitecore Installation Wizard. For this scenario, see the instructions in the Installing Coveo for Sitecore in a Sitecore on-premise environment section above.

You can install Sitecore 9.1 and Coveo for Sitecore simultaneously using WDPs. For this scenario:

  1. See Install alongside Sitecore in Azure PaaS.

  2. If you’re working with SXA, see Install Coveo for Sitecore SXA components.

  3. If you want to send Coveo Analytics events to the Sitecore xConnect service, see Send Coveo Analytics to Sitecore xConnect.
