The following Coveo features apply their own expressions to the effective query:

Ranking weights, stop words, and thesaurus are configurable expressions defined within the Cloud Console (see Search optimization). These optimizations are managed by a server-side process (see Manage query pipelines).

When the exposed feature set of the query pipeline doesn’t fulfill a specific use case, it’s possible to intervene and configure it at the server level (see Query pipeline language (QPL)).
