Set up a Microsoft 365 Copilot MCP client
Use the Coveo agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot to connect the MCP client to your Coveo Hosted MCP Server. After you add the agent, Microsoft 365 Copilot can use the tools provided by your Hosted MCP Server in any chat experience.
This article describes how to add the Coveo agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot. It also describes how to access it in any Microsoft 365 Copilot chat experience, including in Microsoft 365 apps such as Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:

You have access to the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.

You’ve created an MCP Server in your Coveo organization.

You’re either a member of the Administrators group in your Coveo organization or you have the required privileges to edit a Hosted MCP Server configuration.
Add the Coveo agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot
To add the Coveo agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot:

Open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.

Under Agents, click More agents.

On the Agent Store page, search for the Coveo agent, and then click Add.

Start a new chat with the Coveo agent.

When prompted, click Confirm to connect.

Click Sign in to Coveo and follow the on-screen instructions to log in to your Coveo organization using the login method specified by your company.
After logging in, the Coveo agent is connected to Microsoft 365 Copilot and is ready to use.
Access the Coveo agent
Once you’ve connected the Coveo agent to Microsoft 365 Copilot, you can access it in the following ways:

In the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, under Agents, click Coveo from the list of available agents.
The Coveo agent opens in a new chat window and is ready to use.

In Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Teams, start a new chat, and then enter
@Coveoto invoke the Coveo agent. -
In Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, and Outlook, start a new chat, and then open the navigation panel. Under Agents, click Coveo from the list of available agents.
