Metadata Duplicated Keys are Producing Warnings in the Log Browser

Symptoms

When indexing, the Coveo Cloud Admin Console raises a warning on an item in the Log Browser with a The JSON for document <ITEM_URI> contains case insensitive duplicate keys error message.

Cause

When indexing an item, duplicate field keys (with different casing) are found in the metadata (for example, ParentID and parentId).

Resolution

The July 2018 release of Coveo for Sitecore prevents duplicate keys from occurring. Upgrade at least to the July 2018 release of Coveo for Sitecore to resolve this issue.
