Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML) Listing Page Optimizer (LPO) leverages AI to automatically optimize product rankings on product listing pages (PLPs), ensuring the most relevant products appear first to maximize engagement and Revenue per Visitor (RPV).
Without LPO, PLPs typically rely on manual ranking by merchandisers, which can be time-consuming and may not always result in optimized product rankings. Note that while LPO automatically optimizes product ranking, merchandisers can still manually adjust the ranking of products on PLPs as needed.
By using LPO in your Coveo-powered PLPs, you:
-
Optimize product placement: LPO ranks high-converting products higher on PLPs, increasing the likelihood of user engagement and conversion.
-
Reduce manual tuning: LPO minimizes the need for extensive manual pinning, boosting, and burying of products.
-
Favor data-driven decisions: Merchandisers can leverage AI insights instead of manually adjusting product rankings.
How LPO works
LPO analyzes the products returned for each PLP in your Coveo organization and ranks them based on various performance factors, such as:
-
Click-through rate
-
Conversion rate
-
Revenue generated
It also considers user interactions on PLPs, such as clicks, cart additions, and purchases, to assess product popularity and user preferences. By combining these factors, LPO builds a ranking model that optimizes product order on each PLP to maximize business outcomes.
