Ranking rules for search
Ranking rules for search
This is for:
MerchandiserIn the Search manager of the Coveo Merchandising Hub (CMH), merchandisers can define ranking rules to influence the order in which products are displayed on a search results page.
Search ranking rules are used to boost or bury the rank of specific products on search results based on specific conditions. They can also be used to pin products at a specific position in the search results. For example, a merchandiser can create a search ranking rule to boost products that are on sale, or bury products that are out of stock.
Search ranking rules can apply to all queries or to specific queries only. They can also be scheduled to apply at specific times, allowing merchandisers to plan and execute their strategies more effectively.
Note
Scheduling isn’t available for Pin rules. |

-
Bury out-of-season products: Lower the ranking of products that aren’t currently in season.
-
Highlight new arrivals: Increase the visibility of newly added products to the inventory.
