What’s new in v6?
With the release of Coveo for Salesforce v6.1, some changes have been introduced in the Coveo for Salesforce AppExchange package.
The main changes are:
-
The Coveo Quantic library v3 update, which improves the library’s performance and usability. See Upgrade from v2 to v3 for the list of breaking changes.
ImportantThe breaking changes that relate to the Quantic v2 to v3 update are automatically handled by the Coveo for Salesforce v6 package. No manual intervention is required on your part.
-
All Quantic-based components (for example, the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel component, the Coveo Console Hosted Search Page component, the Coveo Community Hosted Search Page component, and the Coveo Hosted Searchbox component) now use organization endpoints by default. This change applies regardless of whether the setting was enabled on the Advanced Configuration page.
-
The User Actions feature is now available in the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel. This functionality allows support agents to view a customer’s recent actions (for example, the items they clicked and the terms they queried) before the customer created a ticket, such as a case.
-
The Notify trigger rule is now supported by the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel.
-
The Relevance Generative Answering (RGA) rephrase buttons have been removed from the
QuanticGeneratedAnswer
component in favor of rich text formatting. As a result, these buttons will no longer appear in generated answers provided by the Coveo Hosted Insight Panel and Coveo Hosted Search Page components. Note that the quality of generated answers won’t be affected by this change. -
Minor styling and display improvements related to the Salesforce Winter '25 release.
