The article lists product entitlements that were effective before March 25, 2021.

See Coveo Platform (Entitlements) for the most recent ones.

This article presents index item storage, recommendation, and persistent query limits associated with the various Coveo license types and Coveo Platform editions.

Storage

The storage allocation for a Coveo customer is limited to a certain number of items per Coveo production organization. An item is an element of content in the Coveo index such as a document, an email, an HTML page, or a database record.

Each customer is allocated items based on the queries per month (QPM) and users or agents specified in the purchase order and information in the following table. Coveo’s QPM estimates are based on the information shared by customers, depending on the use case and the customer’s search page’s current traffic.

Allocation type Coveo license type Item allocation per Coveo Platform edition
Pro Enterprise
Per 100 K QPM Per 100 K QPM Per user or agent
Included Intranets N/A N/A 2.5 K
Websites 500 K N/A
Agents N/A 20 K
Platform 250 K N/A N/A
Platform & Portals N/A 1 M 5 K
Additional Minimum increments Applicable solution 500 K 1 M
Limit 1 M1 60 M

1. For greater allocation, contact Coveo Sales to upgrade to the Enterprise edition.

Example

You have two Coveo Platform licenses for which item allocations are cumulative:

  1. Websites - Enterprise edition with 1 M QPM item allocation: 500 K items/100 K QPM * 1 M QPM = 5 M items

  2. Agents - Enterprise edition with 1000 agents item allocation: 20 K items/Agent * 1,000 Agents = 20 M items

The total item allocation is 25 M items.

Recommendations

The Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML) Content Recommendations (CR) feature presents a user with most relevant content consulted by other users with a similar navigation history (see About Content Recommendations).

Each Coveo customer is allocated a limited number of recommendation queries (expressed in recommendations per month (RPM)) per Coveo production organization based on the purchase order and information in the following table.

Allocation type Coveo license type Recommendation allocation per Coveo Platform edition
Pro Enterprise
Per 100 K QPM Per 100 K QPM Per user or agent
Included Intranets N/A N/A 500
Websites 300 K N/A
Agents N/A 3 K
Platform 100 K N/A N/A
Platform & Portals N/A 300 K 1.5 K
Additional purchase minimum increments All N/A2 500 K

2. For greater allocation, contact Coveo Sales to upgrade to the Enterprise edition.

Example

You have two Coveo Platform licenses for which recommendation allocations are cumulative:

  1. Websites - Enterprise edition with 1 M QPM
    Recommendation allocation: 300 K RPM/100 K QPM * 1 M QPM = 3 M RPM

  2. Agents - Enterprise edition with 1000 agents

    Recommendation allocation: 3 K RPM/Agent * 1000 Agents = 3 M RPM

The total allocation is 6 M RPM.

Persistent queries

You can use persistent queries when you want to produce content from relatively static search results and don’t want to impact your query allocation per month (see About persistent queries and Render static content using persistent queries).

Each Coveo Platform customer is allocated a limited number of persistent queries (expressed in persistent queries per month (PQPM)) per Coveo production organization based on the purchase order and information in the following table.

Allocation type Coveo license type Persistent query allocation per Coveo Platform edition
Pro Enterprise
Per 100 K QPM
Included Intranets N/A
Websites N/A 50
Agents N/A
Platform 50 N/A
Platform & Portals N/A 150
Example

You have a Coveo Platform license for Websites - Enterprise edition with 1 M QPM:

Persistent query allocation: 50 PQPM/100 K QPM * 1 M QPM = 500 PQPM
