Tab
A Tab is a Coveo JavaScript Search Framework component which the end user can select to access a specific section of a search interface.
Among other things, selecting a tab may toggle the visibility of certain elements on the search page.
It may also enforce a constant query expression (cq
) so that any queries made from that tab only target a particular subset of items.
Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML) models need to be informed of tab selections to provide contextually relevant output.
When logging a usage analytics (UA) event, the origin level 2 should be the name or identifier of the tab from which the UA event originates.
Don’t confuse this with the Search API tab parameter.
