Item

An Item is a piece of content indexed by a source, such as a document, PDF, HTML page, object, database record, or catalog object, that can be returned as a single query result, listing, or recommendation.

Items in a source that indexes permissions each have a permission model, whereas items that are available to everyone or to some specific users and groups only don’t.

In Coveo for Commerce, variant and availability items provide data for filtering, such as size or in-store stock.
