Naming conventions

We have specific conventions for referring to Coveo products, services, and features in our documentation.[1]

Important

Don’t use the trademark symbol (™) in the docs.

Solution naming conventions are rarely relevant for the docs.

Convention: Coveo Intelligent [Xxxx] [Xxxx] (abbreviated after first usage as I[X][X])

Examples

  • Coveo Intelligent Web Sites

  • Coveo Intelligent Employee Portals

  • Coveo Intelligent Customer Self-service

  • Coveo in-Application Intelligence

Product groups and editions

Convention: Coveo for [Ecosystem] [Edition]

Examples

  • Coveo for Salesforce Apps Cloud

  • Coveo for Salesforce Express Edition

  • Coveo for Sitecore

  • Coveo for Sitecore Enterprise Edition

Product features

  • Some features always include our branding.

    Convention: Coveo [2-3 word feature]

    Examples

    • Coveo Intelligent Search

    • Coveo Machine Learning

    • Coveo Usage Analytics

    These are always abbreviated after their first usage as Coveo [X][X].

    Examples

    • Coveo ML

    • Coveo UA

  • Some features may include our branding, but often don’t.

    Convention: (Coveo) [2-3 word feature]

    Examples

    • Coveo Automatic Relevance Tuning

    • Dynamic Faceted Search

    • Query Suggestions

    These are always abbreviated after their first usage, but generally exclude our brand.

    Examples

    • ART

    • QS
