Tables
Tables
Keep tables simple. If you have to use several headers, or you have to merge cells, you should probably organize your information differently.
Use sentence case capitalization for table column headings to minimize column width.
Table cells by definition should be self-contained — don’t start sentences in the header.
Text should be left-aligned, except when the cell content is small and repetitive such as icons and Booleans (center aligned).
Legends for table elements requiring more information:
-
Use numbers with links, not asterisks next to the element.
-
Are placed under the tables.
-
Use italicized text.
