What’s Coveo for Agentforce?

Agentforce AI agents operate with topics, which execute actions. As specified in these articles:

  • Topics define the range of jobs your Agentforce AI agents can handle.

    They’re broad categories of tasks, relating to an underlying use case such as question answering or case classification, that your Agentforce AI agents can perform.

  • Actions are the tools, such as Apex classes and APIs, your Agentforce AI agents can use to perform their jobs.

Coveo for Agentforce provides Coveo-powered Agentforce actions that you can use to extend the capabilities of your Agentforce AI agents.

The first release of Coveo for Agentforce includes the Coveo Passage Retrieval API Agentforce action, which is optimized for question-answering use cases. This action can be used to return contextual pieces of information (passages) from items indexed in your Coveo organization. By leveraging the Coveo Passage Retrieval (PR) API, this Coveo-powered Agentforce action enhances the accuracy and relevance of the responses generated by your Agentforce AI agents.

Coveo for Agentforce doesn’t currently support Coveo Usage Analytics reporting.
