--- title: Classic components (Deprecated) slug: p6hf0580 canonical_url: https://docs.coveo.com/en/p6hf0580/ collection: coveo-for-salesforce source_format: adoc --- # Classic components (Deprecated) > **WARNING** > > As of the [Coveo for Salesforce v5.2](https://docs.coveo.com/en/n5bj0150/) release, the Coveo Visualforce (Classic) components are no longer supported (see [What's new in v5?](https://docs.coveo.com/en/n4qa0444/)). > Your existing Coveo Classic search interfaces, however, will continue to load and work as before. The Coveo for Salesforce package includes a set of [Visualforce](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.pages.meta/pages/pages_intro_what_is_it.htm?_ga=2.239472390.446463943.1750267469-233948078.1706560802) components that you can use to create or supplement a Coveo-powered [search interface](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2741/) or [Insight Panel](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2898/) in Salesforce Classic, which is an older version of the Salesforce user interface. Since the introduction of the [Lightning Experience](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.lex_intro.htm&type=5), Salesforce has been encouraging users to transition to the newer interface, which offers a more modern and responsive design. As a result, the Coveo for Salesforce package now primarily focuses on the [Coveo Quantic](https://docs.coveo.com/en/quantic/latest), [Coveo Hosted](https://docs.coveo.com/en/p6hf0260/), and Coveo Lightning Aura components (for [Lightning Console apps](https://docs.coveo.com/en/p6hf0557/) and [Experience Cloud sites](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1218/)). These components are designed to work seamlessly with the Lightning Experience.
