# Touchpoint
A {doctitle} is an interaction between a user and one of Coveo's [product discovery solutions](https://docs.coveo.com/en/o9cf0524/).
When a user completes a purchase, these touchpoints map their journey and are used to determine which [solutions](https://docs.coveo.com/en/o9cf0524/) should be credited for the purchase.
For example, when a user clicks an [item](https://docs.coveo.com/en/210/) in a list of search results, they're interacting with the Search [solution](https://docs.coveo.com/en/o9cf0524/).
This touchpoint lets Coveo [attribute](https://docs.coveo.com/en/m7l98577/) this product to the Search [solution](https://docs.coveo.com/en/o9cf0524/) after the purchase.
