# Installing the Crawling Module
Maestro is the Coveo software that manages and monitors [your local workers and the State Store](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3260#components).

. Ensure that your environment meets the [requirements](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3262/).

. [Download the Maestro installer](https://coveo-nprod-public-resource.s3.amazonaws.com/connectors/crawling-modules/Maestro-setup.exe) on the server where you want to deploy the Crawling Module.

. Follow the installation wizard.
If prompted to restart your machine in the process, run the installer again once the restart is completed.

. Once you have completed the installation wizard, you're prompted to connect to Coveo and select a [Coveo organization](https://docs.coveo.com/en/185/) to link to the Crawling Module.
The indexed content will be pushed to this organization.

Opt for process described above whenever you can.
When you're faced with scenarios without a graphical interface, where interactive installs are not an option, perform a [silent install](https://docs.coveo.com/en/l55a1236/) of Maestro.

Once Maestro is installed on your machine, you can manage it with the REST API through the [Maestro Swagger](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3265/).

>
> Maestro will automatically [update](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3265#updates) the Crawling Module and itself to ensure that your setup is always compatible with Coveo's most recent updates.
> Maestro's automatic updates cannot be deactivated.
> 
> You can set the time of day Maestro's updates occur by editing the [Crawling Module configuration](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3266#editing-the-crawling-module-configuration) and updating the `AutoUpdateTriggerTime` parameter.
>
