## V1 usage analytics endpoint deprecation
--

On June 3, 2025, Coveo will deprecate old V1 endpoints.
The deprecation affects Coveo for Sitecore customers using the `+https://usageanalytics.coveo.com/+` usage analytics endpoint.
Coveo for Sitecore versions prior to the [September 18, 2020 release (5.0.788.5)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3314/) use this endpoint.
The actions you must take depend on the version of [Coveo for Sitecore you're currently using](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2301/):
* If you're using Coveo for Sitecore 5.0.788.5 or later, no immediate action is required.
However, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the [latest version of Coveo for Sitecore](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2274/) if you've fallen behind.
* If you're using a version of Coveo for Sitecore prior to 5.0.788.5, upgrade to a [Coveo for Sitecore release that hasn't yet been retired](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2274/).
Again, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Coveo for Sitecore.
The Coveo for Sitecore 5 upgrade process has been streamlined.
See [Multi-release upgrade](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2155#multi-release-upgrade) if you need or want to upgrade from an old Coveo for Sitecore 5 release.
If you're still using Coveo for Sitecore 4, [identify your upgrade scenario](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2642#identify-your-upgrade-scenario) and follow the related instructions to upgrade to the latest version of Coveo for Sitecore 5.

## API key privileges restrictions
--

To align with the latest industry standards regarding API key privileges and in keeping with [Coveo API key privilege restrictions](https://docs.coveo.com/en/n75f0459#june-30-2022-update), Coveo for Sitecore API key privileges have been updated.
The update ensures that API keys created by Coveo for Sitecore have the minimum required privileges to function properly.
These changes aren't part of any Coveo for Sitecore release.
The changes were made at the [Coveo Platform](https://docs.coveo.com/en/186/) level.
Existing API keys created either through [user interface activation](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3152#activation-procedure) or using the Coveo for Sitecore bundled API call (accessible at `+https:///coveo/api/config/docs/index#!/Organizations/OrganizationsV1_CreateApiKeys+`) have been updated, but this change doesn't affect the Coveo for Sitecore functionality.
For users who created their Coveo for Sitecore API keys manually using the [Coveo Platform API](https://platform.cloud.coveo.com/docs?urls.primaryName=AuthorizationServer#/Api%20Keys/rest_organizations_paramId_apikeys_post), we recommend that you review and update your API key privileges, if you haven't already done so.

Coveo for Sitecore has added a **Coveo Commerce Query** rendering, both in standard Hive and for SXA sites. ## Hosted search pages
[.version.c4sc.c4sc-new.5-0-642-2.April-1&-2020]
[Coveo for Sitecore 5.0.642.2](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3204#release-notes)
--

Many businesses and organizations discover Coveo through the [Coveo Administration Console](https://docs.coveo.com/en/183/), where they may create an organization, test [indexing](https://docs.coveo.com/en/204/), and build a search page using the GUI editor. But, until now, there has been no way to integrate a Coveo-powered search page into a Sitecore-powered website.
Coveo for Sitecore now has a **Coveo Hosted Search Page** rendering which, when added in the Sitecore **Experience Editor**, pulls the code from the selected legacy [hosted search page](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2866/) and injects it into the current Sitecore page.

## Dynamic Navigation Experience
[.version.c4sc.c4sc-new.5-0-642-2.April-1&-2020]
[Coveo for Sitecore 5.0.642.2](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3204#release-notes)
--

[Dynamic Navigation Experience (DNE)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2907/) is now supported in Coveo for Sitecore!
DNE requires special facets (that is, _Dynamic_ facets) that are "smarter" than the base [facets](https://docs.coveo.com/en/198/) that were already available in Coveo for Sitecore. A [facet](https://docs.coveo.com/en/198/) manager is also needed for the reordering of these dynamic [facets](https://docs.coveo.com/en/198/). Hence, dynamic versions of the **Coveo Category Facet** (named the **Coveo Dynamic Hierarchical Facet**) and **Coveo Facet** renderings are now available, as well as dedicated dynamic range [facet](https://docs.coveo.com/en/198/) renderings for numeric, date, and distance fields.
