# Search result filter
In the context of a [search interface](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2741/), a {doctitle} is an [advanced (`aq`)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/175/) or [constant (`cq`)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/179/) [query](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/) expression which helps to narrow the search results.
