# Impersonation
In Coveo, {doctitle} is a [privilege](https://docs.coveo.com/en/228/) which lets a process make secure [queries](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/) on behalf of an [authenticated](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2120/) end user.
The process will have access to any restricted [items](https://docs.coveo.com/en/210/) that the end user has [permission](https://docs.coveo.com/en/223/) to access.
