# Design the search experience
This section focuses on the searching phase of your search project:

A [search interface](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2741/) is a point of contact between your end users and your [Coveo organization](https://docs.coveo.com/en/185/).
In addition to allowing end users to find content by performing [queries](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/) against your [index](https://docs.coveo.com/en/204/), a search interface can record their interactions by logging different types of [Coveo Analytics events](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/).
You can then leverage this [data](https://docs.coveo.com/en/259/) to generate [dashboards](https://docs.coveo.com/en/256/) and [reports](https://docs.coveo.com/en/266/).
You can also use it to feed your [Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/188/) [models](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1012/) and ensure that your search solution provides continuously improving relevance.

A complete search experience may include one or more search interfaces aimed at satisfying the needs and expectations of your end users.
You should use the [Coveo Atomic library](https://docs.coveo.com/en/lcdf0264/) to build your search interfaces.
Its features and components greatly ease the handling of queries and UA events.
