# Review content behind dashboard cards
After you add Coveo Analytics [cards](https://docs.coveo.com/en/267/) to your [dashboard](https://docs.coveo.com/en/256/), especially visual cards such as line, pie, and bar chart cards, you may want to explore the [data](https://docs.coveo.com/en/259/) behind the graphics.

Therefore, you can convert most dashboard cards (except trend and metric cards) into a Coveo Analytics [explorer](https://docs.coveo.com/en/261/) to test card configuration changes before officially applying them, or to perform a more in-depth review of the card content, adding more filters or concepts as needed.

## Review content behind dashboard cards

. [Access a dashboard](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1542#access-a-dashboard).

. In the upper-right corner of a card, click ![Explore-Data](coveo-analytics/icon-explore-data.png).

Your card is temporarily converted in an explorer in which the same dashboard global filters and period to review are applied.

. In the **Data Explorer**, you can perform the same actions as in a normal explorer (see [Review and manage explorers](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1899/)), such as:

 ** Manage explorer global filters

 ** Modify the period to review

 ** Manage table card filters

 ** Manage table card dimensions and [metrics](https://docs.coveo.com/en/263/)

> Any change you make in this window doesn't affect the dashboard configuration when you return.

. Once you're done, you can do one or both of the following:

 ** Download the table content as a CSV file by clicking ![Download as CSV | Coveo Analytics](coveo-analytics/[download]) at the lower-right corner.

 ** Close the **Data Explorer** by clicking [x] in the upper-right corner.

The following table indicates the required privileges to view and edit dashboards from the [**Reports**](https://platform.cloud.coveo.com/admin/#/orgid/usage/reports/) ([platform-ca](https://platform-ca.cloud.coveo.com/admin/#/orgid/usage/reports/) | [platform-eu](https://platform-eu.cloud.coveo.com/admin/#/orgid/usage/reports/) | [platform-au](https://platform-au.cloud.coveo.com/admin/#/orgid/usage/reports/)) page and associated panels (see [Manage privileges](https://docs.coveo.com/en/3151/) and [Privilege reference](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1707/)).
