# Duplicate a dashboard element
When you build a [dashboard](https://docs.coveo.com/en/256/) that contains similar sections or similar [cards](https://docs.coveo.com/en/267/), you can save a lot of time by duplicating the section or the card, and then modify only what's different in the copy.

## Duplicate an analytics dashboard element

. [Access a dashboard](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1542#access-a-dashboard).

. On the dashboard, in the top corner of the section or card that you want to duplicate, click [copy16px].

* If you duplicated a section, the new section appears at the bottom of the current dashboard.

* If you duplicated a card, the card appears in the space available, either on the right side, or below the original card.

. Click **Save** on the upper-right side of the dashboard.
