--- title: Export data from a card slug: '1751' canonical_url: https://docs.coveo.com/en/1751/ collection: coveo-analytics source_format: adoc --- # Export data from a card When you want to share information from a [Coveo Analytics](https://docs.coveo.com/en/182/) [card](https://docs.coveo.com/en/267/) (for example, to share your top documents or content gap results), you can export a light-weighted data report (see [Data exports](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2810/)). With the [required privileges](#required-privileges), this data can be extracted from any card on your dashboard with the **Data Explorer** panel, so you can analyze and visualize it. The data is exported to a CSV file (spreadsheet), which can be read by third-party tools such as Microsoft Excelâ„¢. > **Note** > > Although you can extract all the data from your reports (see [Manage raw data](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1856/)), use the **Data Explorer** for a limited period only, so you'll have a shorter report.
