# Supported file formats
The following table provides a list of the [item](https://docs.coveo.com/en/210/) types and formats that Coveo can index.
Items of unsupported formats can be [indexed by reference](https://docs.coveo.com/en/l3qg9275#choosing-the-right-default-action) or using [indexing pipeline](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1893/) extensions.
