# Concepts
Coveo Analytics provides valuable insights into how users interact with your search experiences, helping you measure performance and optimize relevance.
Essentially, it records [events](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/) performed by end users in your Coveo-powered [search interfaces](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2741/) and, when configured, in other web pages types.

By default, Coveo-powered search interfaces push a set of standard search-related events and associated [dimensions](https://docs.coveo.com/en/258/) to the Coveo Analytics database on which [metrics](https://docs.coveo.com/en/263/) can be calculated.
