# Possible `crawlerInstanceType` values
When [using the Coveo API to create a source from a raw configuration](https://docs.coveo.com/en/15#tag/Sources/operation/createRawSource), you must specify a valid `crawlerInstanceType` in the request body.

> Raw configurations are intended for advanced users only.
> Other users should the [create a source from a simple configuration](https://docs.coveo.com/en/15#tag/Sources/operation/createSource) instead.
