Creating Your Coveo Cloud V1 Organization

After installing the Coveo for Salesforce application, the next step is to create the Coveo Organization where your hosted unified index will reside. You will also create a Coveo Organization account based on your email that becomes the owner of your Coveo Organization. You will use this account to manage sources and users within your Coveo Organization.

To create your Coveo Organization

  1. Login to your Salesforce organization using an administrator account.

  2. In your browser address bar:

    1. Copy and paste the following link: https://coveosolutions.na1.visual.force.com/apex/coveocreateneworganization.

Normally, Salesforce will redirect you on the Create a New Coveo Organization page by replacing the Salesforce instance in the URL (the na1 part) with the one your Salesforce organization really uses. However, if you know the Salesforce instance you can modify the above link before pasting it.

      • When your Salesforce organization uses the na17 instance, copy and paste the following URL in your browser address bar: https://coveosolutions.na17.visual.force.com/apex/coveocreateneworganization.

      • When your Salesforce organization uses the eu1 instance, copy and paste the following URL in your browser address bar: https://coveosolutions.eu1.visual.force.com/apex/coveocreateneworganization.

    2. Press Enter.

  3. In the Create a New Coveo Organization page:

1 In the Password and Repeat Password boxes, enter the password that you want to use for your Coveo Organization account. Your email address becomes your Coveo Organization username. Your email becomes the username of your Coveo Organization account that will be the owner of the Organization. You will use this account to manage sources and users within your Coveo Organization. Take note of the password that you specify.
2 The Organization Name box by default contains your Salesforce organization name, proposing to use the same name for your Coveo Organization. You can modify this name using alphanumeric, space, dash, and underscore characters.
3 Click the Subscription Agreement link to review the agreement terms.
4 When you accept the subscription agreement terms, click Create Your Organization.
  4. In the You’re all set! page:

1 For first time users, click the link to access the topic and learn how to install a Coveo Insight Panel in a Salesforce page layout.
    2 Otherwise, click Done.

Once the creation of your Coveo Cloud organization is done, it is recommended to subscribe to the Coveo Cloud Platform status page to get information on scheduled maintenances, current status, incidents notes, and downtime information for all Coveo cloud services (see Monitoring the Coveo Cloud V1 Availability and Coveo Cloud Platform Status Page).
