# Context
{doctitle} is a Search API query parameter that can be used to include custom data in a [query](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/).
It can be leveraged in [Coveo query pipeline](https://docs.coveo.com/en/180/) conditions and can also provide [Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/188/) [models](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1012/) with specific contextual information about the current query so they can output more personalized suggestions.

When `context` data is included in a query, the [custom data](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1341/) field of the corresponding Search [Coveo Analytics event](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/) is typically populated with equivalent information to allow Coveo ML models to learn from that logged data.
