# Search hub
{doctitle} is a Search API [query](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/) parameter whose value is a descriptive name of the [search interface](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2741/) from which the query originates.
This lets you create an optimized [query pipeline](https://docs.coveo.com/en/180/) for a specific search interface.

The search hub parameter also makes it possible to create [Coveo Analytics reports](https://docs.coveo.com/en/266/) in which data is filtered or grouped according to this information.
