# Origin level 2
{doctitle} is a [Coveo Analytics event](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/) [metadata](https://docs.coveo.com/en/218/) whose value should typically be the name or identifier of the [tab](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1406/) from which an event originates.

In the context of product listing, the value should match the [breadcrumb](https://docs.coveo.com/en/2731/) of the product listing page from which the [Coveo Analytics event](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/) originates (for example, `canoes-kayaks/kayaks/sea-kayaks`).

When logging an [event](https://docs.coveo.com/en/260/), `originLevel2` should always be set to the same value as the corresponding [tab](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1343/) Search API [query](https://docs.coveo.com/en/231/) parameter to ensure that [Coveo Machine Learning (Coveo ML)](https://docs.coveo.com/en/188/) [models](https://docs.coveo.com/en/1012/) function properly and that [Coveo Analytics reports](https://docs.coveo.com/en/266/) and [dashboards](https://docs.coveo.com/en/256/) are coherent.
